Indian GP: Vettel and Button share honours in free practice three

Racing ace Jenson Button proved costly for Red Bull drivers Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber by getting right in between them. Living up to his reputation, McLaren’s Button brought in all his experience to be placed on par with the Vettel. It was a great delight to watch all these celebrated racers of international caliber to adorn Indian tracks. Perhaps, this is only 2nd Indian Grand Prix being held in as many years and has already been quite popular with the masses. As far as the drivers are considered, everyone would like to leave a mark starting afresh after Korean Grand Prix.

Vettel has been having a dream run by being ahead of Red Bull’s rival teams during the past few instances. Playing a crucial role in winning successive trophies for the team at Singapore and Korea, the German is on a high and would like to forge ahead by winning Indian GP as well. Back in 2011, the driver has won the inaugural race and is touted to be the most favorite of all. One of the biggest challenges all the drivers commonly faced during the practice session was the track. Ever since the 2011 championship, Buddh International Circuit was hardly considered for racing again.

Drivers have been found figuring out the best balancing act because of the uneven conditions coupled with different tyre components. Appearing to be very dusty for a majority part, the condition of the track now proves to be crucial in deciding the winner irrespective of the speeds. All the teams have to come good collectively by maintaining the lead during each and every leap. Right from securing the pole position to breezing past the chequered flag, every move is important in order to win championship. Everyone holds an equal chance of winning as they have been distanced with narrow margins in the past.

Getting adapted to the Indian tracks will be a different ball game for all the teams. Perhaps, none of the teams hold the edge because of the championship having been started just recently. British racer Lewis Hamilton already expressed his views that Vettel has surely got the advantage because of having the fastest sporting car in the current season. In fact, it is the same thing that almost every driver agrees with. No matter what one has got to say about the championship, it is the winning factor that bothers everyone as of now. All the teams and racers are busy with their own strategies as they are well aware that Indian conditions would be different.

There appears to be some technical issues as well that have been affecting the drivers’ performance. For instance, the temperatures in the rear tyres were found to be higher that should be controlled. It would be interesting to see how the two-time champion Sebastian Vettel will react in case it anything but the pole position. With other drivers like Hamilton much gutsy in their approach this time, it would be interesting to see who will emerge as the final winner.
