Indian supporters pelted stones at cricketer Yuvraj Singh's house in Chandigarh after India was defeated by Sri Lanka in the finals of World Cup T 20 in Mirpur on Sunday. As per reports, police dashed to his house and pacified the angry crowd.
Yuvraj Singh consumed 21 balls to add only 11 runs on the board. The in-form Indian batsman Virat Kohli, who was pacing the innings, got only 7 balls to play in the last 4 overs. India could make only 130 runs, a total that proved not enough to defend.
Earlier, Yuvraj's father Yograj Singh said his son should not be singled out for the defeat.
Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni also defended the southpaw, saying he tried his best.
