18-year old wonder kid score a ton on Test debut

Having been picked for the national side, 18-year old Prithvi Shaw has started off his Test career in superb fashion. After coming on as the opening batsman against West Indies and losing his strike partner K L Rahul for a duck, Shaw went on to score a thoroughly deserved cenrury. He formed a formidable partnership with Pujara to put the Indian innings back on track. The former U-19 India captain, hit nineteen boundaries in his whole innings of 134 off merely 154 balls.

He was dismissed by DevendraBishoo, who held on to the catch after putting in a calculated delivery, soon after Pujara was sent back to the pavilion for a well-fought 86. India suddenly find themselves three wickets down for 232 at tea,as two new batsmen, captain Kohli and AjinkyaRahane, are at the crease.
