After Defeating Alaves, Barcelona Eyeing Towards La Liga Title

Barcelona is on the brink to win the La Liga title, with their victory against Alaves on Tuesday changed all the equation in their favor. Lionel Messi was on the bench as Barca comfortably made it to the victory which ensures their position in the title race. After a strained first half, Barcelona midfielder, Carles Alena strikes the first goal of the night at 54 minutes, to lead the match against Alaves. Arturo Vidal and Sergio Roberto combined well, the latter threading a pass through to Alena which Luis Suarez cleverly stepped over, allowing the 21-year-old to coolly slot home. The second goal was added by Luis Suarez in the 60th minute, after a penalty slot from Tomas Pina’s handball, advancing Barcelona towards the win on Tuesday, as well as the title of La Liga almost in their fingertips. Valverde brought Messi, Alba, and Arthur at the end of them to keep the defense strong for Barca. Barcelona concluded the match, with 2 goals on board, while Alaves struggled to even score a single. Barcelona is already on the verge of their 26th La Liga title, as they stand on the top of the table with a 12 points lead. This lead ensures their win without any further game if Atletico Madrid loses a single game from their upcoming match against Valencia on Wednesday, or Real Valladolid on Saturday. Barcelona has their last match against Levante on Saturday, but Barcelona might seal their victory before that.
