Argentina vs. Croatia: Energy extravaganza

Argentina's performance in their last match against Iceland was very disappointing for the fans and also for all football lovers. It is the first time in history that Argentina has failed to win the opening match since losing against Cameroon in 1990. Messi was expected to be in a better form and also the team lagged in coordination and had a terrible defending strategy. In the contrary, Croatia won against Nigeria in their last match and quite surprisingly it was their first win in the opening match since debut in 1998. Argentina has been one of the strongest teams of World Cup but this year they need to work on their defending strategy. Croatia has been let down by Corluka and Lovren so far. But their midfield strategy is very strong and Modric has been outstanding. Whereas, the forward player of Croatia, Kramaric has been outstanding as well. They have strengthened their game so far. While Argentina has big defenders like Mascherano and midfielders like di Maria and Perez, they cannot win the match if they do not improvise. Given Argentina’s hold on the game it can be anticipated that they can win the match only if they improvise and coordinate well.
