Centuries in IPL Final

It is tough to score a century in IPL but tougher to do the same in an IPL final.  A player with a perfect blend of calmness, steadiness and superb reflex can only do so. In these 11 years of IPL history only two batsmen have earned this feat. In 2014 final, Wriddhiman Saha scored 115 runs of 55 balls and provided the boost required for Kings XI to win the match.  But Manish Pandey’s 94 runs in 50 balls turned things away from Punjab and they ended up in the losing side.   In 2018 final, Chennai Super Kings faced Sunrisers Hyderabad. Batting first, Sunrisers scored a decent total of 178 runs but everything went away from them when former Australian all-rounder Shane Watson scored a blistering 117 runs of 57 balls, leading his team to win the third title.  Till date no other batsman was fortunate enough to get a century in the final. But in the year 2011, Murali Vijay’s 95 runs lead CSK to win their first title and in 2012 Manvinder Singh Bisla’s  89 runs gave KKR their first victory in IPL final.
