Colombia is heading into this year’s World Cup after several barren years at the international stage. Colombia has played like a completely transformed team after the appointment of Pékerman as their head coach in order to re-establish themselves in the football world.
Now Clombia is known as one of the best teams in the world, and in the last World Cup in 2014, Colombia went till the quarter-final stage quite comfortably before being narrowly defeated by Brazil. In this World Cup also, Colombia will rely heavily on goals from the star players Radamel Falcao, Cuadrado and James Rodríguez.
James Rodríguez’s move to Real Madrid after the 2014 World Cup did not work out for him, though he has resuscitated his career after moving to Bayern Munich.
