Delhi Daredevils look for a turnaround against Kolkata Knight Riders today

Delhi Daredevils (DD) is looking for a miracle against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) today. Playing under new skipper Shreyas Iyer, DD cannot afford to lose any more as they are languishing at the bottom of the table. KKR on other hand is back after a week's rest and will look forward to consolidating their position in the top four. The Feroz Shah Kotla stadium will definitely help the slower bowlers and KKR will try to exploit the conditions with their spinner trio - Sunil Narine, Kuldeep Yadav and Piyush Chawla. It would be a huge boost for KKR if Andre Russell can play for them and contribute with the ball. He stretched his hamstring during the last match and is still nursing his problem.

KKR will look to have a blistering start with Chris Lynn at the top. Nitish Rana will definitely hope to continue his fantastic form in the middle order, being ably supported by Captain Dinesh Karthik. DD, on the other hand, will rely on pacer duo Avesh Khan and Liam Plunkett for making early inroads while KKR bats. This is going to be the 200th IPL match for Piyush Chawla who will definitely give his best to pick up wickets in the middle overs. There is still no confirmation whether Chris Morris and Jason Roy will be able to play. Other teams will be looking at the performances of KKR pacer duo Shivam Ravi and Tom Curran, both of whom have been slightly inconsistent with their bowling. Veteran leg-spinner Amit Mishra may not get the nod ahead of the likes of Shahbaz Nadeem today.
