Egypt and Salah on the brink of crashing out of the World Cup

Russia all but sealed their place in the World Cup round of 16 with another resounding win as they beat Egypt by playing exceptional football. Russia has scored a collective eight goals from two games. The script might have been very different had Salah been fully fit, but that was not the case tonight. It took him until the 42^nd minute to have his first shot on target. Even though his usual burst of acceleration was there, he was not at his best. He was the only Egyptian who wore long sleeves and extra protection but he struggled. However, his consolation goal came from a penalty when he glided into the area to draw a foul.The opening goal for Russia came from a same side, thanks to Ahmed Fathi. He turned a tame Russian effort into his own goal with his attempt at clearing the ball. Thus started the downfall of Egypt and in the 60^th minute mark Cheryshev finished cooly to slot the ball into the back of the Egyptian net again. On the 63^rd minute, again a long ball was played to Dzyuba who showed great touch and finished well to finish any remaining hopes Egypt might have had.
