F1 King Schumacher Regains Consciousness

According to reports, Formula One racer Michael Schumacher has regained consciousness after a brain stem-cell surgery in Paris hospital. The track king who have been ruling the Formula One circuits, throughout the late 90’s and early 2000’s, got himself heavily injured during a skiing incident in 2013. The accident caused severe injuries, sustained from an impact in the head which turned out be dangerous.

Michael have been considered to be one of the best sportsperson Formula One had ever produced, with most Grand Prix wins, just over the current speedster in the industry, Lewis Hamilton. With 91 Grand Prix victory, and 7 World titles, Schumacher have some important records to his name. He retired from his beloved tracks on the year 2006 to start working for the speed giant Ferrari

He came back with the 2010 Mercedes but in his next 2 years racing he only once got the podium finish coming third at European Grand Prix in 2012 at the age of 43, becoming the oldest racer since Jack Braham to have a podium finish at this age and also recorded his 77th fastest lap in the process. With uncertainty over further participation in Formula, Michael was replaced by Lewis Hamilton by Mercedes and soon after he concluded his racing career in 2012 Brazilian Grand Prix finishing 7th

However, he met with an accident in December 2013, while skiing with his then 14-year-old son Mike, which eventually resulted in a serious injury. Following the accident, he was rushed to Grenoble Hospital and after two surgeries, he was put into a medically induced coma for a few months. In March 2014 the doctors reported that he was stabilized

He was sent to rehabilitation center to regain consciousness, he did as well, but the injury affected his walking and communication skills to some extent and made stay indoors with the private life he wished for, probably not this way. He was recently admitted to Georges Pompidou Hospital on Monday, for a stem cell treatment by “pioneer in cell surgery", cardiovascular surgeon Philippe Menasché

Reports have surfaced, that the dark days for Schumacher seems over, as he has regained consciousness after the surgery and seem to be in an improved condition. His wife Corinna Schumacher refused to comment much from the initial stages following to his husband’s interest of keeping their private life out of celebrity attentions. She has been taking care for him this long and will hope to see him in a better condition like all.
