After trailing the five match ODI series 0-2, the Australians made a gallant fightback to win the final three games of the series. A historic series victory for the visitors indeed! If the hosts India have lost a bilateral ODI series at home for the first time since 2015, it was the first time since 2009 that the Aussies have won an ODI series in India.

Chasing a total of 273, India were bowled out for a total of 237, to gift the Aussies a 35 runs victory. Rohit Sharma and Kedar Jadhav scored 56 runs and 44 runs respectively, while Bhuvneshwar scored an impressive 46 runs down the order to give India some hope in the game, but it was not enough. For the Aussies, Zampa was the pick of the bowlers claiming 3 wickets.
