India loses by 8 wickets

Trent boult's extraordinary bowling led New Zealand win the 4th ODI against India on Thursday. New Zealand have already lost the five match rubber, but this win will certainly boost up their moral for the ICC World Cup that is knocking at the door. Trent boult's carnage combined with Grandhomme's disciplined bowling limited the Indian innings to only a meagre 92 runs which the Kiwi batsman chased down in just 14.4 overs.Boult’s 5/21, his fifth five-wicket haul, is the second best figures for New Zealand against India in the limited overs format. Previously it was pacer Shane Bond (6/19) in 2005 in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. The start was brilliant for New Zealand but Bhuvaneshwar Kumar struck early to dismiss Martin Guptill for 14 runs. Martin guptill slammed 2 boundaries and one six in his four-ball stay. Bhuvneshwar Kumar then dismissed the Kiwi captain Kane Williamson for just 11 with scoreboard showing only 39 runs.Henry Nicholas (30 not out) and veteran batsman Ross Taylor (37 not out) then applied themselves perfectly and completed the proceeding with ease.Towards the end, when India were reeling at 55/8, chinaman Kuldeep Yadav (15) and leg spinner Yuzvendra Chahal (18 not out) forged a small but crucial 25- run partnership to help India reach 80 runs. Chahal was also the highest scorer for India. None of the batsman could show any resistance to the Kiwi bowling. Debutant shubman Gill is not an exception. He got out after putting only 9 runs on the board. The penultimate match will be interesting after the stunning performance from New Zealand.
