Indian Women’s Hockey team draws the match with Malaysia after a thrilling game play

It was a thrilling match between the two teams, with last minute goals by Navneet Kaur to settle a draw. India had a good start with Navjot Kaur scoring a goal in the 13th minute and soon after in the 22nd minute again, India found another opportunity to score a goal, and Navneet making no mistakes found the back of the net.

However, Malaysia’s Gurdip Kirandeep scored the first goal for their team in the 26th minute trying to lessen the lead at hand. This was Malaysia’s first goal of the tournament after losing to India the last couple of matches. This goal led to Malaysia attacking the defence of India which eventually turned out to be a good chance for Malaysia giving away a penalty corner, as Nuraini Rashid scored the second goal. India made too many errors contributing two more penalty corners to Malaysia, which Nuramirah Zulkifli and Nuraini Rashid successfully turned into two goals doubling their leads in the 35th and 38th minute respectively. India struggled for a bit but made their comeback in the 45th 54th minute as Navneet scored two back-to-back goals to level the scores. Both the team defended the goals for the remaining game settling for a final draw of 4-4.
