La Liga club FC Barcelona midfielder Andres Iniesta expresses his happiness that their Spanish club is lucky to have a player like Lionel Messi in their ranks. More specifically, it was Iniesta who favors his incredible luck to have been playing along with Messi for all this while. There is so much learn and so much to share when you have such players of international caliber playing with is what Iniesta had intended to say.
Iniesta is scheduled to visit India this year as part of a promotional campaign. According to the revelation made by PRO Harish Sharma, it was almost confirmed during a ad shoot involving Iniesta along with model and actress Claudia Ciesla. Meanwhile, there was no stopping Messi as he has been reaping gold for Barca throughout 2012 and is expected to continue the same form this year as well.
Messi, who surpassed Gerd Muller in scoring most number of goals for a club during a calendar years, admits that he just plays his normal game. The talented Argentine player has won many awards including Ballon d’Or for which Iniesta himself and Portuguese sensation Cristiano Ronaldo were top contenders.
Sharing his personal experiences in an interview with Zoom Sport International, Iniesta said: "I've played with Leo for a long time and there're no words to properly describe him.
"His best attribute is how he's able to do something out of the ordinary on a daily basis.
"He also makes the difference in a very natural way and having this sort of player in your team is incredible.
"We understand each other really well and I hope he can continue doing what he's doing and bring more success. At the end of the day that's what really counts."
Meanwhile, there are some critics who argue that Messi’s histrionics came to the light only after the sincere efforts on field by Iniesta himself and Xavi Hernandez as well. Irrespective of what one has got to say, the sort of records created by Messi are here to stay for not just years but for several decades to come by.
Personally, many consider him as a perfect player to which Iniesta humbly responds that there can never be a perfect player. Especially, it is impossible to have one in a game that full of surprises and uncertainties.
"Perfection doesn't exist. There are players who are close, but it's almost impossible to be perfect.
"Football evolution wouldn't be possible if perfection existed.
"I don't think I'm a star. Instead, I consider myself as a footballer who tries to improve by doing things well and get better, and that's how I rate myself.
After making 21 appearances for Barca this season alone, Iniesta is likely to be a part of Blaugrana as well when the team will be pitted against Real Sociedad during the next La Liga schedule.
