The IPL 2014 will be jointly held in UAE & India from April 16 to June 1. This is the seventh edition of the Indian Premier League. A total of 8 teams will participate in the tournament. The qualifying phase will have a total of eight teams vying for four spots in the Elimination Round.
The Elimination Round will be held between May 27 and May 30. The final will be played on June 1. All the four matches will be played at Chennai and Mumbai.
The winning team will get two points. According to rules, if a match ended with the scores tied, the tie is broken with a one-over-per-side Super Over. After super over still tie then:
- The team with most number of boundary sixes throughout the entire match wins.
- If still tie, the team with most number of boundaries throughout the entire match wins.
- If still tie, the team taking the most wickets throughout the entire match wins.
- If still tie, a count-back from the final ball of the Super Over eliminator shall be conducted. The team with the higher scoring delivery shall be the winner.
- If still tie, by toss.
