IPL 2019 - Match 48 Rashid Khan and David Warner gets SRH to no.4 spot

Kings XI Punjab won the toss and opted to bowl first, but David Warner and Wriddhiman Saha were putting up a good partnership, as they cruised 78 runs partnership in the first 6 overs. But at the 1st ball of 7th over, Wriddhiman Saha (28 out, 13b; 3X4, 1X6) gets out trying to play a reverse sweep, Sunrisers Hyderbad 78-1 after 6.1 overs. David Warner brings up his half century at the start of 12th over with a boundary, Sunrisers at 116-1 after 11.2 overs. Manish Pandey along with Warner were beautifully scoring runs all over the ground, but Ravichandran Ashwin scalps Manish Pandey (36 out; 25b; 3X4, 1X6) as he tried to chip the ball through point, but Mohammed Shami takes an easy catch. R. Ashwin’s spell wasn’t quite over yet, as he gets David Warner’s (81 out; 56b; 7X4, 2X6) wicket at the end of the same over, SRH at 163-2 after 16 overs. Kane Williamsom and Mohammad Nabi were putting on a good show, to cruise SRH over 200 mark, but Williamson (14 out; 7b; 1X4, 1X6) soon succumbed to Mohammed Shami’s over, as he hits the ball over square, and Murugan Ashwin takes a brilliant catch. Mohammad Nabi (20 out, 10b; 2X6) gets bowled in the very same over, SRH 198-4 after 18.4 overs. Arshdeep Singh starts the last over, with a beautiful Yorker to dismiss Rashid Khan (1 out; 2b), as Sunrisers Hyderabad stood at 202 with the loss of 6 wickets. Hyderabad finished with a 212-6 on board, from 20 overs.

Sunrisers Hyderabad had a great start, sparing 11 runs in the 1st 2 overs, and by taking a wicket at the 1st ball of 3rd over, as dangerous man, Chris Gayle (4 out; 3b; 1X4) departs without a show, Khaleel Ahmed scoring his first wicket, KXIP at 11-1 after 2.1 overs. Mayank Agarwal (27 out; 18b; 2X4, 1X6) put out a good cameo, after which in the 9th over, he hits the ball by Rashid Khan straight to the fielder, as Punjab stood at 71-2 after 8.4 overs. At the start of 11 over, Nicholas Pooran (21 out; 10b; 2X4, 2X6) hits the ball by Khaleel Ahmed to Bhuvneshwar Kumar, he does take the catch, but touches the boundary line, giving away six runs in the process, but at the last ball, when Pooran hits it back to Bhuvi he takes a brilliant catch to stop the show for the night. David Miller (11 out; 11b; 1X4) gets out in the 13th over, Rashid Khan gets his 2nd wicket for the night. Rashid Khan gets his 3rd wicket at the last ball of the over as Ravichandran Ashwin (0 out; 1b) heads back to the Punjab dugout, KXIP needs 106 runs to win from 42 balls. KL Rahul brings up his 50 in the 14th over, with a six. KL Rahul (79 out; 56; 4X4, 5X6) was trying hard to get Punjab over the victory line, with maximum strikes, but succumbs to K. Khaleel Ahmed, as he strikes for the 3rd time, and skipper Kane Williamson takes a good catch, Punjab needs 53 from 11 balls. As 48 was needed from the last over, Sandeep Sharma strikes with Simran Singh’s (16 out; 17b; 1X4, 1X6) wicket, and then Mujeeb Ur Rahman’s (0 out; 3b) wicket with a knuckle ball, and restricted Kings XI Punjab from reaching the desired total by 45 runs.
