The Delhi Dynamos had a demoralizing evening at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on Tuesday. North East United FC secured a deserving victory by 2-0 margin. With this win, the North East team are at the top of the table currently while the Delhi side succumbed to eighth position. It was almost an even game until the final ten minutes before the final time.
The visitors had Federico Gallego and Bartholomew Ogbeche scoring during the final ten minutes. While the former scored the opening by blasting a shot into the bottom left corner. To add to the dismay of the Delhi fans, Ogbeche scored a calm clinical finish to wrap up the evening spectacle. Dynamos coach Josep Gombau maintained that the level of playing was not at fault, blaming a few individual errors from his side. He was utterly disappointed with the end result. He also stated that as foreigners they are not used to the level of pollution and would like to continue with their training.
