Karim Benzema’s gets Real Madrid Back to Winning Ways in La Liga with a Hat-trick

A hat-trick by Karim Benzema secured a comfortable win against Athletic Bilbao in La Liga. In the first half, neither side was able to score any goal, and frustration was clear, as Real Madrid had previously drawn a match against Leganes, falling 13 points short from the leaders Barcelona, and 4 points short from rival Atletico. However, and the second half started, within 2 minutes, Karim Benzema scored the first goal of the match at the 47^th minute. With 20 left with the game, Bale came along with Isco, and it was his run in that won Benzema the corner, to score the 2^nd header, resulting in a goal at the back post, at the 76^th minute of the game. In the 90^th minute, however, Iago Herrerin rushed out to intercept a speculative ball over the top but made a mess of his headed clearance. His poor header dropped at the feet of Bale, who position it for Benzema to fire the ball into the empty net and score his third goal at 90^th minute, to finish off the hosts.
