Sachin Tendulkar turns 45 today. On this auspicious day, Twitter flooded with best wishes for the Master Blaster. On that very day, he scored an undefeated 100 runs.  In November 1989, Master Blaster made his debut against Pakistan in Karachi when he was just a 16 years old kid. His whole performance on the test was noteworthy. A few days later after the test, he made started representing India in ODIs.

The Pakistan series was followed by a series in New Zealand. However, his ODI performance was poor but he still managed to make his place in the next tour of England. On 14th August 1990, his second test ton saved India from certain defeat against England at Old Trafford Stadium in Manchester.

Though his test career was an extraordinary one, it took 78 ODIs for Sachin to get his first ODI century. 9th September 1994 Sachin scored his maiden ODI ton against Australia in Colombo, Sri Lanka. In 1996 World Cup Sachin was the highest run scorer with two centuries.  Unfortunately, Sri Lanka won the world cup but Sachin carried away the spectators’ hearts.
