Renowned golfer Neha Tripathi of Kolkata is in a dazzling state with three consecutive victories at the Hero Women's Professional Golf Tour 2013.
She will be leading the field for the eighth leg of the tour which is supposed to be held at the Karnataka Golf Association golf course from 20th to 23rd August.
However, star golfer and Hero MotoCorp Sponsored Sharmila Nicollet of Bangalore, who is currently recovering from an ankle injury will be missing the eighth leg.
Notably, Neha with her victories in the last three events has exhibited some outstanding golfing temperament to come out as the present leader of the Hero Order of Merit 2013 with an earnings of Rs 6,60,000 at the conclusion of the seventh leg.
Undoubtedly, the Kolkata youngster led the Hero Order of Merit 2013 for the first time in her three years career of playing on the tour as a professional golfer. On the other side, veteran Delhi golfer Smriti Mehra and Vani Kapoor follows Neha by Rs 1,75,000 in the total earnings till the last event. Remarkably, the Rs 5,00,000 event will consist of 15 professional golfers who will struggle for the apex honours.
Meanwhile, Rookie golfer Shweta Galande of Poona is ready for her second tournament as a professional. She made a superb start to her professional career in golf acquiring a fifth position finish at the recently concluded seventh leg of the Hero Women's Professional Golf Tour.
The eighth leg will see the return of Bhavi Shah from Kenya too. Unfortunately, Bhavi had to miss the seventh leg due to personal reasons.
The Hero Women's Professional Golf Tour 2013 consists of a total of 14 legs stretching across major locations in India.
