No Super Over in World Cup 2015

Cricket's World Cup trophy will be shared by the finalists in 2015 if there is a tie, or no result, after the sport's governing body decided to scrap use of a "super over" for the showpiece match.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) decided also that there will be no "super over" to settle the quarterfinals or semifinals. The teams that finish highest in the groups will advance, it said.

In another change announced by the ICC, following a board meeting in Dubai, the Decision Review System will be used for all matches at the World Cup, to be held in Australia and New Zealand from February 14-March 29. The DRS system was officially  launched for the  first time when New Zealand Played Pakistan  in their own backyard in a Test Series in 2009. It came into force in ODI's in 2011. There will also be one Reserve day in the knock out phase of the Cup.
