Parupalli Kashyap is planning to return to the BWF Super Series circuit with the Denmark Open

It has come to light that World No. 14 Parupalli Kashyap is looking forward to return to the BWF Super Series circuit with the Denmark Open commencing on 15th October.

The country’s top-ranked shuttler returned to the Siri Fort Indoor hall on Sunday, where during the Indian Badminton League last month, he twisted his right-ankle. Remarkably Kashyap, who survived the pain throughout a forgettable campaign, resumed training just 3 days ago so that he can serve Indian Oil in the ongoing Petroleum inter-unit badminton meet beginning on Monday.

He admitted that he is far from being 100 per cent fit, but he could not afford to skip this event. After all, their employers look after them all the year round and want them to represent them only for 2 weeks in a year, which is once each for the Petroleum meet and Public Sector championship. He added that since the rehabilitation process is still continuing, he not only has to strengthen the affected muscles, but also play vigilantly. Certainly, he will play the team championship and see if he can hop the individual event. He predicted that if he spends a week more with his support team in Hyderabad, he should be match-fit.

Sindhu, who is a household name since capturing the World championship bronze medal last month, is supposed to lead Bharat Petroleum’s campaign in the absence of Saina Nehwal.

Sindhu considers that she still have a long way to go. She added that with more experience, she will surely improve and be more consistent.

Regarding her two defeats to Saina in the IBL, Sindhu remarked that Saina is a better player, both in terms of skills as well as experience. Despite in those two matches, she played much better than her. She humbly regretted that she could not get her game together.
