Playing for Legacy

When at one hand, sports lovers were intimidated by the sheer contest between two new champions for the ICC World Cup 2019 title between England and New Zealand, while on the other hand, in a historic battle, Novak Djokovic came out at the top, after the longest game at Wimbledon 2019 final against the phenomenal Roger Federer. In a tough contest, the world no.1 Roger Federer fell short to an equally competent Novak Djokovic, as Novak wins his 5th Wimbledon title with a terrific show.

The court screamed Roger’s name as he made his 133rd final appearance at the Wimbledon grass courts, but Djokovic teared through that sound, making his existence inevitable at the final showdown. Tension brewed inside the ground, as both of the legends clashed not leaving an inch open for the other to get past, with the record longest final of Wimbledon of 4 hours and 57 minutes. Neither Federer, nor Djokovic; nobody bowed down as the contest brought out an epic show with scores 7-6 (7-5) 1-6 7-6 (7-4) 4-6 13-12 (7-3) and with addition of new rules the match finally summed up in the magnificent win of Djokovic against Federer

Novak Djokovic silenced the crowd’s chants in a cut-throat competition, dueling through each set with a wild approach, as the Serb refused an easy game acing for the utmost glory and ceasing it after a spectacular show, while the Swiss keeps his legacy untouched. Almost 5 hours of rallying, Wimbledon emerged into a moment of complete silence as the roar of Djokovic’s win reverberated throughout the stadium, bagging home 16th Grand Slam crown, 2,350,000 British pounds, and 2000 points but an unapologetic glory along with the title.
