Angel Di Maria scored twice as Paris Saint-Germain secured a comfortable 3-0 quarter-final win over Dijon at Parc des Princes. With this victory, PSG continued their bid for fifth straight French Cup title as they progressed to the semi-finals. All the goals by Di Maria were scored in the first half itself, with one in the 8th minute and another one before the half hour mark. And finally, Thomas Meunier wrapped up the proceedings with a late third. PSG are on course for a historic treble as they also lead Ligue 1 by 17 points with a game in hand and play the second leg of their Champions League match against Manchester United with a 2-0 advantage.
PSG played the game against Dijon without Kylian Mbappe. With Neymar and Edinson Cavani still out injured ahead of the Manchester United game, coach Tuchel did not want to take any chance. The hosts did not have to wait long as they were able to break the deadlock very soon, with Julian Draxler finding Di Maria in the right space at the right time to deliver. Dijon had one or two chances in the whole match as PSG dominated the entire game.
