Qatar is gearing up for 2022

The dates for the Qatar 2022 World Cup has finally been confirmed by FIFA, which will kick off on November 21, with the finals to be played on December 18.

FIFA president Gianni Infantino appreciated the 2018 arrangements by Russia as the best ever, and has also promised to release a final decision on the number of teams to be taken into consideration for 2022 next month.

It is safe to say that the 2022 World Cup will be special. Starting off, it will be the first ever winter-edition of the tournament, and the November-December weather there is fantastic. Moreover, Qatar is much smaller in terms of size compared to Russia or Brazil, and fans will be experiencing a warmer, cosier and much friendlier atmosphere with mingled fan parks and stadiums. Qatar is well-versed in their marketing and branding strategies, and have already proposed a whopping $4 billion plan for the special stadiums, and unsurprisingly, the price tags are expected to go much higher. Since the place is compact, ideas like setting up huge cruise ship and photographic tent cities in the middle of the desert have been proposed to accommodate the visitors. Also, this would be the first time stadiums are going to have artificial cooling technologies for providing comfort to players and fans alike.

The World Cup 2022 is also going to be special singularly from the game point of view. It will be the last World Cup which will see the football legends, Messi and Ronaldo in the stadiums and the emotions are surely soaring high. FIFA is also toying with the idea of 48 participating nations, which is going to make the game more competitive and will bring out new talent.
