Indian driver Sailesh Bolisetti from Scorpus Racing team claimed the 13th position on his first race outing in the Euro Racecar series at the Circuit Paul Armagnac at Nogaro in France on Sunday.
Bolisetti drove the 450 bhp Chevrolet Corvette along the grid by putting his underlying pace to good use on Sunday after qualifying for the 18th.After bypassing a couple of cars in the opening lap, he was confident that he can accommodate himself in the top-10 finish but unfortunately, some mechanical problem in the brakes barred him from making the required advancement.
Bolisetti admitted that he has performed in some tough races in the rain and thunderstorms, but he thinks that this was the toughest race he has ever dealt with in the presence of a dry track and sunshine.
On the other side, India`s Karun Chandhok and his team-mate Jay Seyffarth claimed the sixth position after qualifying 11th in the FIA GT series race held at the same venue. The team was perfect for a podium finish, but a short halt to change the tyres took some of their precious seconds ultimately making them finish as sixth.
