Saina Nehwal, Parupalli Kashyap and defending champion Sameer Verma stormed into the quarter finals of Syed Modi International World Super Tour 300. Saina had it easy against Amolika Singh and outclassed her 21-14, 21-9. On the other hand, Kashyap earned a hard fought victory, defeating Indonesian Firman Kholik 9-21, 22-20 and 21-8. Sameer defeated China’s Junpeng 22-20, 21-17 in a straight game victory. In the mixed doubles category, Ashwini and Satwik Sairaj also made it to the final eight category.
