Smriti Mehra marked this week with an even par 71 in the fourth and final round and finished at 50th at the Lalla Meryem Cup in Morocco on Sunday.
Smriti was performing well and stood 25th after the second round. Unfortunately she crashed down after the third round 76 and the final round 71 could not improve her position much.
Ariya Jutanugarn of Thailand relished the double bogey on the back nine 15th as she landed seven birdies in a round of 67. This was her third straight 67 after a first round of 69. She completed at 14-under and three clear of Beth Allen. The 17-year-old and the Ladies European Tour rookie Ariya was performing excellently from the second round onwards and never stopped over the weekend. Previously, Ariya won the LET`s Lalla Aicha Tour School by five shots in December at Morocco. Next, she kick started her superb professional career with a second to Karrie Webb in the first season at Australia and runner-up to Inbee Park in Thailand.
