Sutil and di Resta will be cautioned by Force India for collision at Chinese GP

Adrian Sutil and Paul di Resta will be warned by Force India for their commencing lap collision at the Formula 1 Chinese Grand Prix in Shanghai.

Both Sutil and di Resta charged each other for the incident. In the absence of this unwanted incident, the Scot could have concluded the race higher than eighth. Sutil had to retreat after he was attacked by Sauber's Esteban Gutierrez during Lap 4.

Deputy team Principal Robert Fernley assured that he will discuss with his drivers and analyze the footage of the incident. Fernley added that they just need to sit down and watch the video because it is not really what they should do on the first lap. He believes that they are both good enough and only need to sort it out between them. He does not think that it is difficult to manage. They just need to make sure that they apparently understand that it is not acceptable, at least not on the first lap. Fernley felt that Sutil could have coped up with the situation better. He added that one can have things happen when one gets tangled into positions that one don't want to be in and they need to understand it fully themselves. But he ultimately suspected thatAdrian got tossed off the kerb, something like that occurred so he couldn’t give Paul enough space there.

According to Fernely, di Resta could have finished fifth without the collision. He continued that it could have cost them more dearly, but luckily it was a good, well-run race. He disclosed that it was a hard race, but they managed to pull back Paul through and the strategy worked. They targeted seventh and in the absence of the first lap incident, they could have got Jenson as well.
