The Red Devils against the Asian Champion

Belgium has high hopes this year of reaching the last eight for the third time. An experienced Japanese side has managed to climb up to their very first Round of 16. The leading goal-scorers in the group are all ready to take on Asia's last remaining representative; Belgium meets Japan at the Rostov Arena.

The Red Devils have set their aim to reach their third World Cup quarter final and equal their record of four consecutive wins, set four years ago. Their unheated 22 match run - the longest in Belgium's history reflects an extremely talented side. On the other hand, Japan advanced from the group phase of fair play points and with a determination to win, made their way into the last-16 for the very first time ever.

Belgium’s captain, Eden Hazard is intent on having some innocent fun at the field today against Japan. Both the teams’ last meet ended in a 2-2 draw. This year, Japanese midfielder Takashi Inui hopes to exploit what he sees as certain flaws in the Belgian defence.
