As Thibaut Courtois edges closer to Chelsea exit, the London based club seems to have come up with a new contingency plan. They were initially looking to sign the Atletico Madrid shotstopper, Jan Oblak. However, they would have had to trigger his €100million buy-out clause in order to do so. Recent reports suggest that Chelsea might go for the young Spanish goalkeeper, Kepa Arrizabalaga, instead. Kepa will not come cheap though as he has whopping €80million buy-out clause. Chelsea have apparently agreed to sell Courtois for €35million and have triggered Kepa’s release clause. Chelsea are not stopping there as they are looking to seal a one-year loan deal to bring Kovacic to Stamford Bridge.
After 12 years of interrupted service and 4 premier league golden gloves, Joe Hart is finally on his way out of Manchester City. Once a prized asset, it’s needless to say that he hasn’t had the best of times between the sticks for City, being loaned out twice. He spent short spells at West Ham and Torino only to come back to City at beginning of this season. He will be donning the Burnley shirt next season and we wish him all the very best.
In other news, Real Madrid might be interested in the English wing-back, Keiran Trippier. There has been no official word or statement from them or Tottenham as of yet. Colombian midfielder Jefferson Lerma has joined the premier league club, Bournemouth. Bournemouth had to break their club transfer record to get the midfielder from the Spanish side Levante for £25million.
