· CHELSEA VS BARCELONA: 2009 CHAMPIONS LEAGUE SEMIS
Remembered as one of the most controversial referee displayed match, with most people claiming the denial of two major penalties to Chelsea, Barca managed to break hearts and fuel fights in this game. The English side had full control over the game in the first half; however Iniesta managed to equalise the score, securing a spot in the finals.
It was the second consecutive major match Chelsea lost, after losing to Man Utd the previous year, in the finals.
· GHANA VS. URUGUAY: 2010 FIFA QUARTERFINALS
Ghana had the biggest chance to make history in the FIFA World Cup 2010, and put up a spectacular show against Uruguay in the quarters. However, the penalties were harsh for them and stopped them from going any further.
· ITALY VS GERMANY: 2006 WORLD CUP SEMIS

Liverpool was certainly out of the run, bowled down by 3-0 by halftime, and even optimistic Liverpool fans lost all hope, which however ended in smiles, with Liverpool doing a tie and then winning the game in a penalty shootout.
