Sunil Gavaskar has stopped to be subservient and questioned BCCI`s decision to allow Dhoni and Dhawan to take an “off” from domestic cricket. Dhoni, who was recently denied place in the T20s against West Indies and Australia, had no cricket since Nvember 1 after the ODI series with West Indies.Dhawan who was not selected for the Test Series against Australia is spending time with the family at Melbourne after the T20I series with Australia. Gavaskar is duly concerned with the form of the players as the world cup is looming on 30thMay.Gavaskar wants Dhoni to play in the Ranji Trophy to revamp his form.Incidentall;ly Dhoni is suffering a lot of condemnation.
Gavaskar opined that there is a huge gap in the time period of Dhoni`s match playing. He last palyed On November1 and then he is going to play in January as he is not playing domestic matches.If he does not do well in tours of Australia and New Zealand then there would be questions raised on his place in the World Cup.Playing continuously enhances the reflexes and it’s a way ofgood practice, Gavaskar said.
