Yuvraj Singh bids adieu to International Cricket

Veteran Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh bids goodbye to International cricket.  He announced his retirement on Monday at Mumbai. Yuvraj debuted for India in the year 2000 against Kenya in Champions Trophy and last played for India in the year 2017 against West Indies. In these 17 years of his cricket career, he scored 11,778 runs. 8701 runs in ODIs, 1900 runs in test and 1177 runs in T-20s. Besides batting, he also took 111 wickets in ODIs. Not to forget, he was also the man of the tournament during India’s successful 2011 World Cup campaign.  In 2007, T-20 World Cup in a match against England, spectators saw the destructive side of Yuvraj Singh, where he hit six 6’s to Stuart Broad in the death overs. His fans will never forget his 121 runs stand With Mohammed Kaif in 2002 Natwest Trophy Final, where India won series against England at their home ground. Just after 2011 World Cup Yuvraj was diagnosed with cancer and was ruled out of the field for nearly 6 years. Since then lack of runs and fitness concerns he was shown the door by Indian team management. Though he continued to play IPL but never made a comeback to the national team. His sudden retirement left the fans stunned.
